Executive Producer, ABC News NOW

Nancy Han was named executive producer of ABC News NOW in June of 2008. In that position, she oversees the editorial content and production of ABC News' 24-hour digital network, which is available to 44 million subscribers across broadband, cable and mobile platforms. Before joining ABC News NOW, Han was the executive producer of ABC News' Early Morning News Content, where she was responsible for the editorial content and production of the network's two early morning broadcasts, "World News Now" and "America This Morning," as well as the newscasts on "Good Morning America." She also was responsible the overnight and early morning editorial content and production of ABC News' digital platforms, including and ABC News NOW.

Prior to being named executive producer, Han was a senior broadcast producer, responsible for the newscasts in GMA. She joined ABC News in July 2004 for the launch of the weekend edition of "Good Morning America." Her primary role was to produce the newscasts for the morning program. She also worked in the news division's Special Events Unit and contributed to coverage of the 2004 Presidential election and breaking news specials, including the Indonesia Tsunami and death of Pope John Paul II.

Prior to joining ABC News, Han was a senior executive producer at WNBC-TV in New York. There she was responsible for the editorial content and production of several newscasts, including "Today in New York," "Live at Five" and "Newschannel4 at Six." She won a New York Emmy Award for Outstanding Morning Newscast, as well as several other awards for Breaking News coverage. Han took the station to air for 15 hours of continuous live coverage on September 11, 2001. She joined WNBC in 1995 as a writer.

Han's broadcast career began in Providence, Rhode Island, at WLNE, the ABC affiliate, where she was an associate producer. She simultaneously reported for a small cable channel in Attleboro, Massachusetts. She then became a writer at WHDH, the NBC affiliate in Boston.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Han was raised mainly in Rhode Island. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from New York University, where she majored in Journalism and minored in Spanish. She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and lives in New Jersey with her husband, Scott Wapner, a correspondent for CNBC, and their son Dylan.
