Nicholae Schiller on ABC's "Red Widow"
Croatian born actor Goran Visnjic has received critical acclaim and commercial success in theatre, television and on the silver screen. Best known for his role at Dr. Luka Kovac in the hit television series "ER," Visnjic continues to tackle some of Hollywood's most challenging roles, making him one of the most sought after actors today.
Visnjic joined "ER" during the series' sixth season, and has since worked alongside such actors as Forrest Whitaker, Mekhi Phifer, Maura Tierney and Noah Wyle. Other television appearances include the miniseries "Spartacus" and the Croatian movie and television series, "Duga mra?na no?." He began his career starring in Shakespeare's "Hamlet" at the internationally acclaimed Dubrovnik Summer Theatre Festival in Croatia, his performance earning him the coveted Orlando Award (the equivalent of the Tony Award).
Visnjic most recently wrapped shooting Ridley Scott's "The Counselor," alongside Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem. He also wrapped the upcoming drama "K-11," in which he stars as a record producer who finds himself in prison after a drug-induced blackout and has to learn to navigate the new power structure around him.
Recent film credits include "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," "Beginners," "Helen" and a segment for the anthology film "New York, I Love You," a series of love stories all taking place in New York City directed by Andrei Zvyagintsev. Visnjic also co-starred in the movie "Elektra," opposite Jennifer Garner, lent his voice to the blockbuster hit "Ice Age," and starred in "Committed," "Practical Magic," "Rounders" and "Welcome to Sarajevo."
Visnjic currently resides in Los Angeles.
