Emma Swan on ABC's "Once Upon a Time"
Actress Jennifer Morrison has her plate full with numerous television and film projects. During her 2014 hiatus from "Once Upon a Time," she wrapped the horror film "Locked In," with Jennifer Jason Leigh. The film was directed by Franck Khalfoun and will be released by The Weinstein Company on January 2, 2015. Morrison also filmed the Greg Mclean directed "6 Miranda Drive," opposite Kevin Bacon. The horror thriller follows a family returning from a vacation with a fear-feeding supernatural presence tailing them.
Morrison was most recently seen in the independent film "Alpha Alert," a thriller helmed by British director Matthew Thompson, starring opposite James Frain and Josh Steward. Later this year, she will co-star in the independent feature film "The List," opposite Patrick Fugit and directed by Harris Goldberg.
In 2013, Morrison was seen in the independent film adaptation of Neil LeBute's "Some Girl(s)," co-starring opposite Adam Brody and directed by Daisy von Scherler Mayer. She also appeared in the independent feature film "Knife Fight," directed by Bill Guttentag and produced by Guerrino De Luca. In September 2011, she appeared in the Gavin O'Connor directed feature "Warrior," opposite Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton.
Also adept at television, Morrison is best known for her work as 'Dr. Allison Cameron' on Fox's critically acclaimed drama, "House." The show was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2009 as well as a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2009, 2008, 2007 & 2006, and a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series - Drama in 2008. Morrison was nominated for a 2008 WIN Award for Outstanding Actress Drama Series for "House." She also had a notable recurring guest appearance on the CBS sitcom, "How I Met Your Mother," as 'Zooey,' a love interest of 'Ted,' played by Josh Radnor.
Other film credits include J.J. Abrams' film "Star Trek," wherein she played 'Winona Kirk,' 'Captain James Kirk's' mother; "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie; "Surviving Christmas," starring Ben Affleck and Christina Applegate; and the independent film "Flourish," which she starred in and produced.
Morrison recently directed her first short film, "Warning Labels," which imagines a world wherein everyone wears a warning label with their deepest secret.
Now residing in Los Angeles, Morrison hails from Chicago, where she studied with the celebrated Steppenwolf Theatre Company and earned a degree in theater from Loyola University.
