Jeffrey W. Schneider is the senior vice president and spokesman for ABC News and oversees communications for “World News with Diane Sawyer,” “Nightline,” “20/20,” “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” and “Good Morning America.” He is responsible for media relations for ABC’s affiliate news service, NewsOne, ABC News Radio, ABC News Productions and ABCNews.com. Mr. Schneider reports directly to Kevin Brockman, executive vice president, Global Communications, Disney/ABC Television Group, and to Ben Sherwood, president, ABC News. Mr. Schneider joined ABC News in September 2000 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2006.

Prior to joining ABC News, Mr. Schneider was the director of public relations at the William Morris Agency. In 1997 he became director of public relations at Hachette Filipacchi Magazines, where he was responsible for the promotion of 29 magazine titles. From 1993-1997 he was a senior vice president at Rubenstein Associates, a public relations agency in New York City.

Mr. Schneider began his career as the public information officer for the New York State Urban Development Corporation. He graduated with a degree in international relations from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 1991.

Mr. Schneider resides in Manhattan, where he was born and raised.
