Paula Faris is an ABC News correspondent based in New York, contributing to all ABC News programs. Her work has been seen on “Good Morning America,” “Nightline,” “World News” and the syndicated show, “Katie.”

From 2011-13, Faris anchored ABC’s No. 1 early morning shows, “World News Now” and “America This Morning.”

At ABC News, Faris was among the first to report on the most recent developments of head trauma effects on both professional and amateur athletes. Additionally, she reported on the imprisonment of Hannah Overton, a case that has gained national headlines.

Before joining ABC News, Faris was at WMAQ-TV in Chicago. She shared sports anchoring responsibilities, breaking the glass ceiling by becoming one of the first female lead sports anchors in a top three TV market. She covered the biggest sports stories in the world, including the Olympic Games, Super Bowls, Stanley Cup Finals and marathons. In addition, she won several Emmys for her reporting on the Chicago Auto Show.

Faris began her on-air career with WKEF/WRGT-TV in Dayton.

A graduate of Cedarville University and native of Jackson, Michigan, Faris currently resides in New York City with her husband and three young children.
