Rob Nelson

Co-anchor, "World News Now" and "America This Morning"

Rob Nelson is co-anchor of "World News Now" and "America This Morning," ABC's early morning news programs.

A native of southern New Jersey and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Nelson joined the WWL-TV news team in June 2007 as a morning anchor and reporter. The move to television news was a new venture for Rob, who spent the previous six years covering crime, city government and education for New Orleans' top newspaper The Times-Picayune.

Mr. Nelson has won several awards for his work, including from the Society of Professional Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Press Club of New Orleans and the Louisiana Press Association.
