Castle
Mondays, 10:00 - 11:00 p.m.

When viewers first met Richard Castle -- a famous mystery novelist and divorced father raising his teenage daughter, while being kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother -- he was creatively blocked. But when the NYPD questioned him in connection with a series of murders staged to imitate crime scenes from his books, Castle found inspiration in NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, a bright and aggressive homicide detective with a fascination for odd and offbeat cases stemming from the years-old unsolved murder of her own mother. Though they instantly clashed, sparks of another sort began to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Castle stepped in to help find the copycat killer. Once that initial case was solved, Castle and Beckett continued to investigate strange homicides in New York, combining Castle's writer intuition and Beckett's creative detective work.
Now, after three seasons, Castle and Beckett's relationship has grown even stronger as they've dodged bullets, captured killers and solved countless murder cases in their unorthodox partnership. But in the explosive Season 3 finale, NYPD Captain Roy Montgomery -- who we learned had a connection to the unsolved murder of Beckett's mother -- was shot and killed by a man tied to that crime. As the episode came to a close, Beckett, who was speaking about her Captain at his funeral, took a bullet from a sniper's rifle and was last seen on the ground with life fading out of her. Will she survive...?
Also with Beckett as his muse, Castle used his newfound experience in the field as fodder for his bestselling novels -- Heat Wave (hardcover published in September 2009, spent 16 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list and 10 weeks on the USA Today bestsellers list; paperback published in April 2010, spent 12 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list and 11 weeks on the USA Today bestsellers list); Naked Heat (hardcover released in September 2010 spent 12 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list and 8 weeks on the USA Today bestsellers list; paperback published in April 2011, spent 4 weeks each on the New York Times and USA Today bestsellers lists); and a third book, Heat Rises, coming out in September 2011.
In addition, for the new season, a graphic novel from Marvel will debut -- Richard Castle's Deadly Storm will come out this September, written by Brian Michael Bendis ("Avengers") and Kelly Sue DeConnick ("Captain America").
"Castle" stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as Detective Kate Beckett, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle, with Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers. Joining the series for Season 4 is Penny Johnson Jerald ("24") as Captain Victoria Gates - aka "Iron Gates" and as by-the-book as they come - who instantly has an issue with Castle... "He's not a cop, he doesn't belong."
"Castle," which is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P) with 5.1 channel surround sound, is produced by ABC Studios. Andrew Marlowe is the show's creator/executive producer, along with executive producers Rob Bowman, David Amann, Laurie Zaks and Armyan Bernstein.

The Middle
Wednesdays, 8:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Two-time Emmy winner Patricia Heaton stars in this warm and witty single-camera comedy about raising a family and lowering your expectations.
Middle-aged, middle class and living in the middle of the country in Orson, Indiana, Frankie Heck is a harried wife and working mother of three who uses her wry wit and sense of humor to try to get her family through each day intact. Her work life's no easier, as she struggles day to day as the least successful sales woman at the town's only surviving car dealer.
Frankie's unflappable husband, Mike, is manager at the local quarry and her sardonic partner in the daily grind that is raising their average - yes, most definitely average - family.
Between juggling shifts and picking up fast food dinners eaten in front of the TV, Frankie and Mike raise their kids with love, humor and solid Midwestern practicality. Axl, the oldest, is a jock slacker who eats them out of house and home and walks around the house in his underwear. Then there's Sue, their extraordinarily ordinary teen daughter, who fails at just about everything she tries with great gusto. This year she's entering high school and will attempt to not only navigate the raging waters of school life but co-exist with Axl, who is not too thrilled with his little sister being at the same school. And last is Brick, their quirky fourth-grader, who reads constantly, whispers to himself and unapologetically marches to the beat of his own drummer.
But through all the madness shines a loving family, and together, the Hecks are putting THE MIDDLE on the map.
"The Middle" stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick.
"The Middle" was created and is executive produced by Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline. The series is from Warner Bros. Television.
Modern Family
Wednesdays, 9:00 - 9:30 p.m.

Critically acclaimed and lauded for revitalizing the television sitcom, “Modern Family” is also quickly cementing itself as a culturally defining series. A recipient of the 2010 Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, “Modern Family” returns to the ABC Television Network for its third season.
Jay Pritchett sits at the head of a large and unconventional family. Now in his second marriage to his gorgeous young wife, Gloria, Jay has been given something of a second chance. Still, old habits are hard to break, and it’s trial by fire as he tries to adapt to life with the same passion and vigor that Gloria exhibits, which are matched by her precocious 12-year-old son, Manny. There are some culture clashes, a few misunderstandings, but also plenty of sweet victories along the way.
Jay’s grown daughter, Claire, and her husband, Phil, are the proud parents of three kids with whom they want that open, healthy, honest relationship. It’s not always easy, especially when you have Haley, a teenage daughter who’s growing up a little fast, Alex, a too-smart-for-her-own-good middle daughter and Luke, a scatterbrained boy. Add to this that Phil is just a big kid himself, even if he does always have the best intentions. Claire is the anchor, trying her best to run a tight ship and determined not to let her kids have the rebellious childhood she had.
Claire’s brother and Jay’s grown son, Mitchell, is busy raising an adopted daughter, Lily, with his long term partner, Cameron. Opposites attract in this household, with Cameron having a wonderfully big personality and maybe a flare for the dramatic, while Mitchell is more buttoned-down. They balance each other out, and these doting fathers are relishing their roles as parents developing their own little family.
These three unique families give us an honest and often hilarious look into the sometimes warm, sometimes twisted, embrace of the modern family.
“Modern Family” stars Ed O’Neill as Jay, Julie Bowen as Claire, Ty Burrell as Phil, Sofía Vergara as Gloria, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Mitchell, Eric Stonestreet as Cameron, Sarah Hyland as Haley, Nolan Gould as Luke, Ariel Winter as Alex, Rico Rodriguez as Manny and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons as Lily.
The series is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Levitan Lloyd Productions. Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are executive producers/creators.
Private Practice
Thursdays, 10:00 - 11:00 p.m.

From Shonda Rhimes, the Golden Globe-winning creator of "Grey's Anatomy," comes the story of a team of gifted doctors working together to change the lives of their patients for the better as they look to one another for friendship and love.
Having made a home in Los Angeles and among her friends at the practice, renowned neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery may have at last found true love with fellow doctor and longtime friend Sam. But just as things have become romantic for the two of them, their friends question if their relationship, so complicated by the presence of Sam's ex -- Addison's best friend, Naomi -- has a chance.
Oceanside Wellness' co-founders, Naomi and Sam, nearly lost their daughter, Maya, in a car accident that took the life of the practice's own Dell. It was Addison's surgical talents that saved both Maya and her newborn baby. In the wake of the accident, Naomi focuses on Maya, her grandchild, and on a possible merger between her current practice, Pacific Wellcare, and Oceanside Wellness.
Initially giving up custody of their child to Pete after enduring a near-fatal trauma, Violet has returned more mentally sound and sure of her role as a mother. Having bitterly fought for custody in court, Pete and Violet came through the drama not only ready to co-parent, but ready to be with one another. It's soon after this realization that the two decide to get married and begin a new life together.
At long last, through numerous bumps in the road, break-ups and make-ups, Charlotte and Cooper are engaged to be married, but the trip to the altar may not be an easy one.
The newest addition to the practice, Dr. Amelia Shepherd, is as gifted a surgeon as her Seattle-based brother, Derek, but is struggling to find herself as she learns to fit in with this close-knit group of surgeons. And Pacific Wellcare psychiatrist Sheldon Wallace is embittered after having pursued many of the women in the practice and come up empty-handed.
The doctors of Oceanside Wellness and Pacific Wellcare work on the most difficult cases, patients whose medical needs often pose moral and ethical dilemmas. Though they may heatedly disagree at work, and though their personal lives may complicate matters, at the end of the day they are the best of friends, always ready to be there for each other.
"Private Practice" stars Kate Walsh as Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery, Tim Daly as Dr. Pete Wilder, Benjamin Bratt as Dr. Jake Reilly, KaDee Strickland as Dr. Charlotte King, Paul Adelstein as Dr. Cooper Freedman, Brian Benben as Dr. Sheldon Wallace and Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia Shepherd, with Taye Diggs as Dr. Sam Bennett and Amy Brenneman as Dr. Violet Turner.
"Private Practice" was created by Shonda Rhimes ("Grey's Anatomy," "Off the Map") and is executive-produced by Rhimes, Betsy Beers ("Grey's Anatomy," "Off the Map"), Mark Gordon ("The Hoax," "Saving Private Ryan"), Mark Tinker ("St. Elsewhere," "NYPD Blue"), Steve Blackman and Craig Turk. "Private Practice" is an ABC Studios Production.

The Bachelor
Mondays, 8:00-10:00 p.m., ET

Millions of viewers shared the heartbreak of Ben Flajnik (pronounced Flannick) when his soulful and heartfelt proposal was rejected by Ashley Hebert in the emotional finale of last season’s “The Bachelorette.” Now Ben is ready to put all the disappointment and hurt behind him in order to move on with his life, his phenomenal success as a businessman and his search for the right woman to be his wife and to start a family with, as he stars in the next edition of ABC’s hit romance reality series, “The Bachelor,” when it returns to ABC in January 2012.
The 28-year-old bachelor has fallen in love three times (Ashley being the third), but has only proposed the one time; that one failed proposal won’t stop him from trying again. He is confident that, having found love on “The Bachelorette,” he will find his soul mate and a lasting, love-filled relationship this time on “The Bachelor.”
Ben, whose easy going charm and sense of humor made him so popular and relatable to viewers, is part of a very close knit family, including his mother and sister. Unfortunately his father, Joseph, with whom Ben was best friends, died almost four years ago. Always supportive, his father personified the kind of husband and father Ben wanted to be. Ben grew up in Sonoma, California, leaving for Tucson before he started high school because of his dad’s work. His mother is a teacher of third grade “gifted students.” Ben stayed in Arizona to attend the University of Arizona, majoring in music production with a minor in business. He quickly found success in the business world, working in Internet advertising after he graduated college. After his father died in 2007, Ben moved back to California, and he plans to stay in northern California for the foreseeable future.
A rare, modern Renaissance man, Ben dabbles in a lot of hobbies and crafts, such as crab fishing, sailing, golf, skate boarding, surfing, playing piano and singing in a tribute band. He is also quite handy with a hammer and saw, and loves fixing and building things, as well as landscaping. The woman who will share his life will also have to share one of his other great loves: his Jack Russell Terrier, Scotch.
Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor” is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Martin Hilton are the executive producers.
Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

As the iconic "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" returns for the ninth season, deserving families in need of a newly rebuilt and decorated home are once again treated to the door knock that changes lives. Throughout the series, children have been an integral part of so many of the episodes, and this season children are the focus. Whether it’s bringing to light the challenges of dwarfism faced by youngsters, the bond between a father and his paralyzed son, or the heroic eight-year-old who saved her younger sister from an oncoming truck -- but incurred life-threatening injuries of her own -- this season celebrates the power of children to transform their own lives and those of their communities.
And "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will continue to unite the families selected with their favorite entertainers, athletes, politicians and role models, this season including First Lady Michelle Obama, Glenn Close, Rihanna and Meredith Vieira, among others.
In addition to rebuilding homes, the "EMHE" design team will be rebuilding other structures too, including a shelter for homeless female veterans in the series premiere episode, when the First Lady rolls up her sleeves and contributes to the team effort.
Ty Pennington heads up the team of designers in a race against the clock to turn people’s wildest dreams into reality. Each episode is self-contained and features a project that would ordinarily take at least four months to achieve, involving a team of designers, contractors and several hundred volunteer workers who all have just seven days to totally rebuild and decorate an entire house -- every single room, plus the exterior and landscaping. The result should be a decorator’s delight, if it can be done in time.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has won two Emmy Awards® for Outstanding Reality Program, plus two People's Choice Awards, the Family Television Award for Best Alternative/Reality Program, an NAACP Award as Outstanding Reality Series, and a Service to American Leadership Award presented by the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation. The show was named the 2010 Contractor of the Year for Residential Contractor magazine, and also received the 2010 Innovator Award from NATPE recognizing achievement in unscripted television.
In addition to Ty Pennington, this season’s designers include Paul DiMeo, Jillian Harris, Paige Hemmis, Tracy Hutson, John Littlefield, Michael Moloney, Ed Sanders and Xzibit. "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is produced by Endemol USA, of Endemol Holding, and executive-produced by Brady Connell & George Verschoor. David Goldberg is Chairman, Endemol North America.
Shark Tank
Fridays, 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET

The Sharks are back for a third season, continuing their search to invest in the best products and businesses that America has to offer. The critically acclaimed "Shark Tank" gives budding entrepreneurs the chance to make their dreams come true, and possibly make a business deal that will make them a millionaire. Season Three continues to make TV history, with the Sharks offering over $6.2 million of their own money in investment deals to bankroll a creative array of innovative entrepreneurs. The season premiere of "Shark Tank" airs FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2012 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Billionaire Mark Cuban, owner and chairman of HDNet and outspoken owner of the 2011 NBA championship Dallas Mavericks, returns as a Shark and appears in all 13 episodes. Also, Lori Greiner, a prolific inventor of retail products and often referred to as the "Queen of QVC," will join the show as a guest Shark investor for three episodes.
Returning "Sharks" joining Cuban and Greiner are real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran, technology innovator Robert Herjavec, fashion and branding expert Daymond John and venture capitalist Kevin O'Leary. The panel of five Sharks will hear pitches of the best business and product ideas from some of America's brightest entrepreneurs, ranging from start-ups from stay-at-home moms and dads, to simple yet brilliant ideas in a wide range of areas including children's products, music, sports, automotive, and even the nightclub scene.
There will be appearances by several celebrities. Joining entrepreneurs in their pitches will be indie-pop singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson and former NBA champion and Hall of Fame basketball player Bill Walton. Business experts that will provide advice by phone to the entrepreneurs include Apple Computers co-founder Steve Wozniak, and Jim Koch, co-founder of Samuel Adams beer. Armando Christian Perez, aka Pitbull, appears in one of the follow-up stories, which allow viewers the opportunity to see how investments led to success.
The entrepreneurs who dare to enter the "Shark Tank" must try to convince the tough, self-made, multi-millionaire/billionaire tycoons to part with their own hard-earned cash and give them the funding they desperately need to jumpstart their business ideas. But the Sharks have a goal, too -- to get a return on their investment and own a piece of the next big business idea.
In exchange for the Sharks' cash investment, the entrepreneurs give up a percentage of their companies' equity. When the Sharks hear a great idea, they're ready to fight each other for a piece of it. If and when the Sharks are confronted with a really top-notch idea, and more than one of them want to sink their teeth into it, a war between them erupts. Then the once-desperate entrepreneur can rejoice that the Sharks find value in their product, service or business. But if the pitch is poor, the Sharks will tear into the ill-prepared presenters and pass on the idea with a simple, "I'm out!," sending them scurrying for the exit, having wasted the Sharks' precious time.
In Season One, the Sharks, using their own money, made investment commitments with entrepreneurs adding up to more than $5 million. During the show's second season, they made investment commitments totaling close to $4 million.
There were also deals that were rejected by the Sharks. Some of these turned out to be missed opportunities when the disappointed entrepreneurs defied the odds and managed to persevere with their businesses.
Mark Burnett, Clay Newbill and Phil Gurin are the executive producers of "Shark Tank," based on the Japanese "Dragons' Den" format created by Nippon Television Network Corporation. The series is from Sony Pictures Television.
