SEANA KOFOED
Jane on the ABC Television Network's "MEN IN TREES"
One should not be surprised by Seana Kofoed's successful career in film and television since she comes from an extensive background in theatre, which allowed her to become a classically trained actress. Her other film and television roles include "The Audrey Hepburn Story," "Law & Order: SVU," "Ed" and "Third Watch." She can also be seen in the independent film "It's About Time."
Raised in the Chicago area, Kofoed attended New Trier High School, where she was bitten by the acting bug while performing in school plays. She then attended Northwestern University, as well as The Royal National Theatre in London. She began her stage career in Chicago, appearing in productions at The Goodman Theatre, The Court Theatre and The Victory Gardens Theatre, before moving to New York.
In New York Kofoed was best known for productions on and off Broadway. Her Broadway credits included "Proof" with Jennifer Jason Leigh and "Night Must Fall" with Matthew Broderick. Her off-Broadway credits include several productions at Manhattan Theatre Club, the Atlantic Theatre Company and Manhattan Class Company. Kofoed has fond memories of her experiences on "Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine" with the late John Spencer and "An Experiment with an Air Pump," for which she received a Drama Desk Nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Kofoed continues to be a bi-coastal actress, living in Los Angeles and New York City. She donates her time to elderly causes and takes a Life Writing class with 15 senior citizens, where she happens to be the only one younger than eighty years old. She also enjoys running and taking Yoga classes.
