The veteran Vince Welch serves as a pit reporter on ABC and ESPN coverage of the IRL Series.
Welch's is the voice you hear with the latest sports news and scores on WIBC's "Morning Show," where he is also Sports director. In addition he serves as the TV play-by-play announcer for Ball State Sports Network, which broadcasts BSU basketball.
During his career, Welch has won a variety of awards. Last year his work was chosen as Best Sports Story of the Year from the Indiana Broadcasters Association. While at WNDY-TV, he won an Emmy for sports coverage.
Welch, an Indianapolis native, is a graduate of Ball State University.
