Brad Jamison is vice president of Corporate Initiatives for ABC Television Network. In this role he heads up the strategic development and implementation of all corporate initiatives for the Network, including community outreach through programming, events and public service campaigns. Additionally he oversees the communications strategy for ABC’s diversity programs, manages the Network’s Audience Relations Department, and serves as the primary liaison for all Disney-ABC Television Group philanthropic endeavors.

Currently Jamison is spearheading the repositioning of ABC’s ‘A Better Community’ public service campaign, which is scheduled to launch in April 2006. The campaign utilizes the broad reach of the Network, the positive influence of talent and the power of on- and off-air programming to inspire individuals to make a difference in their communities through volunteerism and public service.

Prior to his current position, Jamison served as vice president of Consumer Brands for PR firm Edelman, where he provided counsel to and oversaw a variety of accounts, including Discovery Health Channel, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and UNICEF. Under his management, Edelman worked with The Recording Academy to develop and launch “What’s The Download,” a campaign designed to combat illegal music downloading.

Jamison spent four years with public relations firm Ketchum, where he last served as account supervisor, directing all communications strategies for Hyundai Motor America, including its consumer, trade and corporate programs. He also worked on behalf of leading brands such as Coca-Cola, Perrier, Sunbeam and Brooks Brothers while at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.

Additionally Jamison served as pro-bono communications counsel for PAX, a non-profit anti-gun violence organization dedicated to ending gun violence in the United States. He played a large role in the award-winning launch of the Asking Saves Lives (ASK) campaign – a program that encourages parents to ask if there is a gun where their children play – and in the first annual National ASK Day.

Jamison is a recipient of numerous communications awards, including two PRSA Silver Anvils, two IPRA Golden World Awards, an Inside PR CIPRA, a Prism Award and two PRSA – New York Big Apple Awards. He is also an active member of Big Brothers Big Sisters.

A native of New Jersey, Jamison is a magna cum laude graduate of Ithaca College and resides in Los Angeles.
